Read More & Pricing Formerly Leadership Extreme our Leadership Exploration and Development (LEAD) is a two-week program geared to campers who, in the future are wanting to become a counsellor. Throughout the two weeks campers will gain valuable experience, skills and discipline to help them become effective camp counsellors in the future. They will focus on; leadership building activities, effective communication, problem solving, skill building activities such as archery, boating and hiking, camper characteristics and more. Campers will be assigned to help out with various camp duties, such as helping run the end of the week Major Special, bus buddies, and even being a counsellor for a half day. In addition, participants will enjoy a one-night sleepover event, aimed at further developing their team-building skills. Campers will also enjoy an offsite trip to an Escape Room, which will see them using problem solving skills, team work and communication with one another. This program is a perquisite for our Counsellor In Training program. Upon successful completion of LEAD campers are welcome to participate in our CIT program, an exclusive camp volunteer opportunity. Please note to register for our Leadership Exploration and Development program, participants must be finished grade 9, 10 or 11. Read More & Pricing Planet Kids Tennis Camp is geared for beginner to intermediate players who would like to learn the fundamentals of the game including forehand, backhand, footwork, serve and some basic strategy on how to play a point or game. Our goal is to deliver a tennis program that campers enjoy while learning tennis skills that will stay with them for a lifetime. Junior Tennis racquets are available as needed and our certified tennis instructor will use mini tennis nets and low compression balls as needed to help improve their skill acquisition enjoying more success at a faster rate. The camp with include two hours of Tennis instruction per day, Monday to Thursday, at the North Burlington Tennis Club in Kilbride (15 minutes bus ride from Kelso Conservation Area). In addition, campers will enjoy other fun activities throughout the week, including; swimming or other water activities daily, recreational sports, games, special events and more. No experience necessary. All supplies will be provided.

Our Wilderness Camp will provide campers orienteering, hiking, team building and environmental experiences sure to be a fun, exciting and challenging learning experience for them! Campers will enjoy their first day at Kelso Park, getting to know their peers and counselors better and learning how to use a compass and other hiking equipment, as they hike up the Niagara Escarpment trail on-site. On Tuesday, they will start their day at Mt. Nemo, the will be dropped off there by bus upon arrival at Kelso, starting their hike along the Bruce Trail towards Rattlesnake Point, where they will settle for the night, setting up a camp site, and preparing their meals. On Wednesday, campers will continue their hike along the Bruce Trail, making their way to Hilton Falls then back to Kelso Park for another overnight camp out they will set up and prepare meals for. Thursday and Friday, campers will enjoy time at Kelso, swimming, canoeing, playing active games and field sports and taking part in our end of week Major Special! Tents, food and other necessary supplies will be provided for Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s sleepovers. Other supplies needed from home – see Wilderness Sleepover Checklist. Important: Due to the nature of this program, campers should be in good physical condition and prepared to hike several kilometers of terrain daily, as well as be willing to help set up/ take down tents, prepare meals, carry their own backpacks and supplies, and keep up with the pace of the group.
